Cool Cat Cafe has been voted Best Burger on Maui 13 years in a row! The retro, 1950s diner-style cafe is known for its burgers, pulled pork, fish tacos & people-watching.

This airy eatery is located on the 2nd floor looking out over the Banyan Tree. Cool Cat Cafe uses a trademark blend of seasonings and spices in their belt-loosening selection of burgers and the bar is a colorful collection of boat crew who are cheerily drinking away their tips.

For a Hawaiian-themed burger, spring for the “Don Ho” which is covered in a tasty teriyaki and pineapple. For a burger with avocado, the “Luna” features bacon, avocado, and melted Jack cheese, or test your taste buds with a spicy “La Bamba” where the burger is topped with chili, cheddar, and sweet Maui onions.

“Visited tonight and had a great experience. Arrived around 545pm which was perfect because we were able to get happy hour drinks and food in before the 6pm deadline. The music said it would start at 730 but the guy was set up and jamming by 630 with great island music.

Alanna was our server and she was excellent. We got the 2 for $10 sliders, twice, so 4 sliders total which allowed us to try one of each. All were excellent. Would also recommend the “frings” half fries half onion rings, but I will say if you need to pick the onion rings were spectacular. Drinks were spot on as well! Check it out if you’re in Maui looking for a $50 dinner with drinks!”

“A bit of a funky place in a good way. A bit noisy during happy hour but the burgers, shakes and the 1950s/1960s diner theme made up for it. Well priced by Lahaina standards, I would definitely go back to Cool Cat Cafe.”
